Sheet Piling for Grain Storage Construction
The brief
Sheet piling works commissioned by LLC Anagi for the construction of a grain storage warehouse in Poti (2021). The Black Sea port city's coastal setting and the industrial scale of the facility presented geotechnical conditions quite different from ERTI's urban residential projects.
The challenge
Poti's coastal location creates challenging ground conditions — low-lying terrain, high groundwater tables, and soft alluvial soils. Sheet piling for an industrial-scale warehouse needed to handle substantial lateral earth pressure across the full perimeter of a large-footprint excavation.
Our approach
ERTI installed a steel sheet pile wall around the warehouse foundation perimeter, providing the necessary lateral earth retention and groundwater control. The solution was sized to the specific soil profile and groundwater conditions of the Poti coastal plain.
