Foundation Pit Reinforcement
The brief
Foundation pit reinforcement at Mosashvili St. 26, Tbilisi, commissioned by AA2 in 2021. Mosashvili St. runs through one of Tbilisi's established residential neighbourhoods, and the project continued ERTI's work across the city's ongoing residential development programme.
The challenge
The Mosashvili St. site required careful management of the foundation pit perimeter within a built-up residential context. Ground conditions and the proximity of existing structures on all sides demanded precise sheet pile installation and sequenced excavation.
Our approach
ERTI installed a continuous steel sheet pile perimeter wall using the press-in methodology, providing lateral earth retention and groundwater control for the basement excavation without vibration impact on neighbouring properties.
