The brief
Sheet piling works supporting the rehabilitation of a sewage treatment system on Rustaveli St. in Kobuleti, Adjara's leading Black Sea resort town. ERTI supplied grooved sheet pile sections for the earthworks, providing safe trench support for the underground drainage infrastructure works.
The challenge
Rehabilitating underground sewer infrastructure on an active urban street requires trench excavation adjacent to live utilities, road traffic, and existing buildings. Maintaining trench stability without disrupting the surface or damaging adjacent services demanded the appropriate sheet pile solution for the soil and depth conditions.
Our approach
ERTI deployed grooved sheet pile sections suited to the shallow trench conditions typical of utility rehabilitation works, providing stable and safe trench walls throughout the sewer system rehabilitation programme on Rustaveli St.
