Khibula — Water Supply Structure
Sheet Piling for Water Supply Head Structure
The brief
Sheet piling works supporting the construction of a water supply head structure in the village of Khibula, Samegrelo (2022). The project demonstrated ERTI's capability in civil infrastructure beyond urban residential and commercial applications, extending the company's reach into rural water management infrastructure across Georgia.

The challenge
Water supply head structures are constructed in or adjacent to water bodies, presenting specific geotechnical challenges — saturated soils, potential for groundwater ingress, and the critical importance of watertight earthworks to protect the finished structure. The rural Samegrelo setting added logistical complexity around equipment mobilisation.
Our approach
ERTI used grooved sheet pile sections suited to the wet ground conditions, creating a watertight cut-off wall that allowed the water supply structure excavation and construction to proceed safely. The sheet pile methodology provided an effective solution for this civil infrastructure application in a rural waterway context.
