Giken Silent Piling Technology Seminar — St. Petersburg
ERTI attended the Giken technology seminar in St. Petersburg (February 14–15, 2018), hosted by Giken's London branch, covering new silent piler equipment and innovations.
On 14–15 February 2018, ERTI attended a specialist seminar on Giken silent piler technology held in St. Petersburg, organised by Giken's London branch. The two-day event presented the company's latest equipment developments — including new silent piler models and attachment configurations for challenging soil conditions.
Giken, founded in Kochi, Japan in 1967, produced the world's first silent piler in 1975. The press-in method works by gripping previously installed piles and using their reaction force to press the next pile into the ground — generating zero dynamic impact on surrounding soil, existing structures, or nearby buildings. ERTI currently operates two Giken units in Georgia.
